The Park

Beginning as mere scouts and messengers, the Park family were infamous for their heavy charge for delivery. On the contrary, no other couriers in the land could compare to their pace and capability; they had the lowest odds of 'disappearing' on route (dying or getting robbed), so they were reliable. With the discovery of Kido this family exploded into power, going from mere speedsters to forces to be reckoned with, and moving on to greater strides than 'being everyone's delivery man'. They approached notoriety across the plains with an extreme familiarity with it around the same time that the Minamoto rose to the occasion, and even partnered with them for a time.

That is where most records end, though. Past this point, few know how that turned out or why the Minamoto no longer mingle with the Park.

The same gray period was around the time that Eun-Cheonan was beginning to be built, and when the Projector's Guild was also well into development. Since then, the Park has led it with few hiccups other than the strange 'disappearances' of patriarchs, matriarchs, heirs, heiresses & members alike, typically over small qualms.

Members of the Park family are born with prestige & money, in part due to their family's origins at the heart of Eun-Cheonan. The Park family has led the Projector's Guild for as long as anyone can remember, and are known for their talent in business and in the field of Hoho. Every generation is heralded as prodigious and bustling with talent, and although many question it - few put it to the test due to most challengers disappearing years down the line. The Park are the only family with a phrase (albeit an unpopular one), that being "Throughout air and ground, we alone are the flying ones."

Common Info

Patriarch: Park Yunjin, the Sixth Head
Date Founded: 9 Centuries Ago
Nationality: Hanguk-In

Behavior

Proud of their fortune and their talent, Parks tend to be unintentional showboats. They are always thinking about how great it is to be a part of their family, and if they don't succeed at a good demonstration in the name of it they'll proclaim it was intentional. Although raised on good morals, there is something there that doesn't add up with them, a feeling that usually doesn't showcase itself for those who meet & interact with these individuals until the Projector's Guild is involved. They are almost always trying to advertise it and recruit Kido specialists into it; despite this fervent attitude, they are nonchalant in the face of denial, usually saying little more than 'your loss' or something to that effect.

Relations

Projector's Guild (MAX): But of course.
Lu (Hate): The two families cope, seethe & mald at one another. Lu think they're shallow cowards that huddle in Eun-Cheonan all the time.
Toyotomi (Low): Consider the Parks to be too confident in themselves.
Sungyoon Timber (HIGH): Highly favor the family, much to the family's chagrin. Plenty of this company's professional plum trees and infrastructure alike proliferate Eun-Cheonan & the Projector's Guild's manor.
Cho Clan (HIGH): The Park produce brilliant Kido practitioners for the clan to survey, view and recruit as guards.
Wang Clan (MAX): Highly value the fact that Park live up to their origins as couriers & delivery men. Makes them very good for scouting missions, delivering messages, and keeping up with expedition groups or meeting other ones out on the field.

Eun-Cheonan (MAX): But of course, :hairflip:.
Tasogare (Hate): Do not like seeing the Parks or their types.
Towns (HATE): Cannot stand being in the presence of a proud Park.

Appearance

Parks only wear the 'finest of fashion' made by the 'best of tailors', garbing themselves in hanboks, hanfu, or formal wear from other cultures to appeal to them. They frequent whites, shades of grays, and blacks - and accentuate those hues with purples, golds, or reds. Their wardrobe style is a tad looser in most other areas of the Soul Plains due to not having to appeal to noblemen and the middle class, though prim & proper is still what most are raised on.

Abilities

Proud Wings: Members of the Park practice the Projection of raw reiryoku from themselves in the form of small, wing-like protrusions, shining white, from their backs. They supplement the steps of Hoho with these wings to propel themselves in short bursts, though better members have shown to be able to manifest larger ones and likewise demonstrate genuine feats of flight with them.
Spirit Way of the Heron: Kido from these individuals tend to be supplemented by their Proud Wings and used with them. Rather than maintaining the tags that allow the presentation of their Kido, they scatter the parchment into numerous separate pieces, conducting the previously established affinity attached to them. These pieces are conveniently shaped into feathers, that they often attach to their wings and allow to flow across the field they travel on in a close-to-mid-range radius.
