Loud Cheaters, Griffiths

One of the eldest Adept groups, the Griffiths are known for their impeccable tenacity and grit. They began rooted among the men to battle in the American Revolution, going on to drift between those that remained in America and those in the United Kingdom. Later uniting again under the same front in the 1940s after relative silence and near 'extinction' of their abilities, they truly began to rise under a proper union. These individuals are extravagant by nature, seeking hobbies like keeping up with fashion and studying 'get money quick' schemes. A vast majority of them settled in Japan after hearing how much they favor western culture, seeing it as the next means to make good money.


Griffiths do whatever they can to get their hands on funds. They are provocative, loud & rowdy by nature, with the only real pass they get being their western traits that prompt most to simply assume that they are 'acting in their nature'. The only real cunning that places them in alignment with fellow Adepts is their ability to make money. Scams and outright illegal acts at times (wiretapping, robbery, etc.) are all feats that they partake in, and despite tending to fail at hiding their trace, they usually just manage to elude real dangers such as death (in the case of mingling with underground factions) or justice.

Spiritualists (VERY HIGH): Goofy, but entertaining to watch.
Regular Citizen (Neutral): Har har.
Japan (Like): Funny, stupid foreigners.
Kisai Headquarters (Dislike): Shut up.

American Dream / British Scheme: Varying in its name according to which culture a Griffith derives from, both of the aforementioned names are merely veils to the feat they truly display -- Soul's Will. These are the perfecters of Soul's Will, demonstrating the uncanny ability to tangibilize reishi as something more than what it typically is. While obscure, this will imposition primarily allows them to demonstrate the toughest of defenses out of all Adepts. Their crystallization of reishi to elude damage is second to none, and their harness of their will for these feats and many others are highly amplified in general.
Mortal Phenomena: All Griffiths demonstrate the ability to heal at an amplified level. This is nothing new to spiritual-adept in general given they can fully repair a completely shattered limb in a matter of two months on average -- however Griffith far exceed this feat at least in the way of less grievous injury. Cuts, gouges, burns -- it does not matter what brand of lesser injury it is, because it cannot stop the human locomotive that is a Griffith. Any spiritual-adept that has witnessed a Griffith in action cannot really quantify the nature of this ability, as they certainly do not all share minor feats of a 'Regeneration' based affinity, leaving it ambiguous to all other than the family themselves how this functions.
