Gintoki

The progeny of the Gintoki family began in Japan, with the proclamation by its eventual Head that he was among the 'main strain' of Genghis Khan's descendants due to his excessive physical capabilities and ability to 'see oddities' since his teenage years in the 1850s. He traversed across different stretches of Asia, 'spreading his influence' before returning home and settling. By the rise of Zenchou's notoriety in the early 1900s, the man had grown too old to continue - but when he reached his deathbed, he was greeted by many faces he did not recognize, stating themselves to be his children and grandchildren from different walks of culture.

It was from that point that the Gintoki were born in proper; known as the Gyo in Korea and known as the Gou in China. They always excelled in close-to-mid-range fields of sport, making names for themselves but still seemingly not sated with their progress in the great variety of different career paths they took. Like their first Head, they all came to Japan in their older years, often bringing their families with them to 'feel at home' and 'learn a little' before their passing. It wasn't before long that the Gintoki as a whole had for the most part settled in Japan, doing soul-searching and simultaneously coming to understand more about their roots. Convening with their fellow Adepts by the 70s, they'd learn how to truly grasp the abilities inherent to them all their lives, honing themselves into a proper family of superpowers.

Common Info

Matriarch: Ginpaku Gintoki [5th]
Date Founded: January 8th, 1912
Nationality: Anything Asian

Behavior

Always drawn toward fields that require a steady aim or demonstration of skill, Gintoki are notable for their visitation of any event that has mini-games they can win with an 'appropriate' aim. They are raised to do what they can when they can do it best and don't lean toward any actual career or job path. Gintoki tend to be the laziest about actually showcasing their capabilities as spiritual adepts, and some have even gotten by for decades without ever showing that they are. They are the definition of 'free-flowers', opting to not conform to the regular societal expectations of Japan and instead drifting about aimlessly, waiting to search for answers to either the most meaningless of queries or character-defining.

Funnily enough, they tend to suffer from memory loss & forget these answers regardless.

Relations

Griffith (VERY HIGH): Great party pals. Cannot be trusted to remind the Griffiths of anything, however.
Regular Citizens (Hate): Perceive the Gintoki as viewing themselves as better than everyone else.
Shindou Investigative (Neutral): Innocuous, but still strange. . .
Greenhorn Express (Like): Receive lots of customers with this same last name in the dead of night.

Abilities

Constrained Zone: Gintoki are aficionados at generating zones of refined reishi passage for themselves. Whereas most Adepts tend to wait until later to delve into this field, this family has an acuity with it from the moment they realize that they aren't the same as others. They utilize them to 'pull' themselves along within limited spaces, normally heightening their momentum & thereby output for smaller courses of action or in the case of Adept feats, their ammunition. They are the definition of an individual who has practiced the same thing hundreds of thousands of times in quite the literal sense, tending to employ this ability even for the most menial of tasks simply because they can.
Reserve Shot: A basic 'trick' employed by Gintoki that allows the transmission of a part of one's Zone into a reishi-based maneuver, typically of an attack basis. This is typically done from a target's blindspot, provided they're using a Constrained Zone that extends beyond the target's range of awareness, or a Zone in full. It is well-known, though, so it isn't as surprising to encounter.
