Yieldless Wraiths, Yuurei

In 1966, reports of a singular man fending off an attack from a crowd of angry goons surfaced in Zenchou media. Allegedly he'd been assaulted amid an innocent delivery run - something that he'd done for years to feed his family. Following this incident the then-victim, Takayagami, Minoto, father of four, died of unknown cause less than a decade later - but not without leaving his children a strange package. Finding vials and instructions to 'go to the sound of music', they were led to a particular family and eventually, guided. It wouldn't be long before they'd discover their inherent capabilities - capabilities that resulted in their father surviving that attack years prior.

Honing those talents and sharpening their senses to what they'd been blind to for their entire lives, the four would go on to have families of their own, instructing them of their innate capabilities and passing on the same package -- vials. Different vials from what the previous generation had been left behind. Whereas those had been left undetermined about their contents, these were the ones that would guide their future - bearing instruction and value alike as their collective, changing from the Takayagami to the Yuurei, pushed away from the normal lives they could've lived.

And sank into obscurity.


Enigmas. They keep to themselves and seem to be raised on the principle of bearing intellect. Taught to not tell their true names, these individuals hone their talents in the scientific field. They are particularly drawn to ofuda, charms and the occult, and have a particular fascination with Germanic science.

Infuse: Dubbed a simple name for a simple purpose, the Yuurei suffuse mundane items with reishi, granting them unique benefits. This can range anywhere from disorienting to aiding those around them, especially themselves. They tend to lean this into the use of tags & ofuda, using them many at a time be it through 'rolls' of them or one at a time, and can utilize coiled-up ones as ammunition for their Armaments.
Live Specter: Excessively talented in the use of their reishi. They can weave it into thread-like extensions from themselves, utilizing these glowing tendrils to attack, grab, and do just about anything a hand would from a distance, albeit with far, far higher tensile strength. It's able to be exuded from beneath the confines of their clothing, but who knows what other ways they can release it.
