[The Path to Growth]

The following are multiple perspectives.

"If you want to be at the top, you have to climb. Over people. Over obstacles. Even your allies might withhold you sometimes."'
"... When I was less familiar with things, I struggled too, 'cause it was hard! I even. uh, went to bed crying at times -- but it gets better! You get used to the hustle, you know? It's just.. you have to move."
"Aye, we're still humans. We don't always get to coast by. We're meant to feel, and hurt, and adapt. We're meant to struggle. Meant to be oppressed, 'cause we can take it. We foster our growth."

"It's the Way of Life."

Development

A character's gradual accrual of strength and power is proportionate to what they do, experience & grow from. So long as you are moving & developing, you are considered to be progressing. Our ideal is characters who'll interact with the world around them & the people around them in ways that contribute. Whether you're a crafter handing out gear and hearing out order requests or throwing yourself into the frontline of danger, you are still taking action and influencing others. Of course, the amount of roleplay you've done has its weight here, but that's only if the contents are more 'casual' or of social orientation barren of veritable change to one's character. These things are all weighed to a higher standard if your contribution is one of struggle. Fighting tooth & nail for your very life or well-being and maintenance of the things that your character cares about or values is a very easy way to maximize your development mechanically.

Another influence is your ability to interact with the world. If your circumstances leave you incapable of doing this for reasons beyond your control such as affiliation that places you in danger of being seen in the public eye, that's fine, that'll be recognized.

Reflection of your development is divided up into three different numeric resources:
-- RPP or Role-Play Points. RPP allows the acquisition of perks.
-- TRPP or Technique Role-Play Points. This allows you to purchase or upgrade techniques, buffs & styles.
-- EXP or Experience. This contributes to a point total requirement that takes you to the next Skill Rank. It is earned through the acquisition of techniques, buffs, styles perks & other resource provisions.

There are a total of three resource provisions that work with the above systems as well: Logchecks, Auto-RPP & Events.

Logchecks

Logchecks interact directly with all three resources but only occur once a week. They reward four different 'levels' or 'tiers', scaled by Level X 1'500 for RPP gain.
As the wipe goes further, the # these levels are multiplied by will scale higher, allowing you to progress faster. There are also boosted checks such as from holidays, time skips, or at the whim of admins, which modify the net gains by multipliers such as 1.5X, 2X, and so on, or outright give a flat bonus.
1:1 of the value is received in RPP. 1/4th of this is received in TRPP & 1/1000th of this is received in EXP.
This means at max, you get 6'000 RPP, 1'500 TRPP & 6 EXP.

Auto-RPP

Auto-RPP interacts strictly with your main resource, your RPP, and reset every week based on when you first created. It has no tiers or levels to it; instead, you gain up to 2'000 RPP a week.
You gain Auto-RPP at a rate of +200 per RP posted.
We don't care about how you gain this, but put some effort in at least.

Events

Events interact with your TRPP & EXP, and occur whenever time is available for the administrator holding it. You can gain up to '1000' TRPP or '5' EXP from these if there was combat, but that's the absolute peak to expect (i.e. five-star danger rating), and can only be given once a week. Overall, this is something I intend to have be a rare circumstance and generally relative to the plot.
This is something that you are privy to if you're faced a genuinely lethal Engagement as well, but it is much more case-by-case basis and can only happen once in a log check week.
Values like 250/500/750 are other amounts you can expect in TRPP gain, while EXP's lesser values are cut & dry.
